This Saturday the USMART team participated in the Upward Bound Program, getting local high school students excited about robotics, by helping them build a submersible R.O.V. The robot is called Sea Perch, and students were split up into three groups, controls, mechanical construction, and motors, gaining hands-on experience. The students will original build a stock kit version of the robot, but will later adjust the robot to compete in a competition against other schools. We made a lot of progress during our first session, but we are excited to finish this coming weekend. Stay tuned!
